Job Description

As our Nuclear Team in Warrington continues to grow, we are looking for dynamic EC&I Engineers to come and join the team. This presents an excellent opportunity to advance your career with a leading industry player, offering a compelling and expanding portfolio of projects.

You will become an integral part of a diverse and exciting team, contributing significantly to project management and delivery. Working closely with AECOM's talented engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation (EC&I) systems within nuclear facilities. Your expertise will ensure the reliability, efficiency, and safety of nuclear processes and infrastructure. Here’s what you’ll do:

You will be responsible for delivery of EC&I design & engineering within that department, including the production of design documentation, design substantiation, as well as checking the work of other engineers & designers.
Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
Identifies discrepancies in results.
Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.

Qualifications

Ready to push the limits of what’s possible?

Here’s what we’re looking for:

Degree in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent Qualifications / Experience
Extensive relevant experience and be able to demonstrate sound technical knowledge

Advantageous Experience/Knowledge:

Low Voltage Electrical Distribution design.
Control System design.
Building Services & Management system design.
Earthing & Lightning design.
A working knowledge of BS7671
Knowledge of safety standards (IEC 61508, 61511, 61513).
Knowledge of Functional Safety and Reliability and associated topics.

You will also be self-motivated with an ability to work both autonomously where required, with a strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn and a desire to work in a dynamic deadline driven team environment.

Security Clearance

Please note that our offer of employment is conditional upon your ability to meet UK security clearance requirements. This is necessary for you to work on the full range of projects requiring security clearance at AECOM Infrastructure and Environment UK Limited.
