We have a fantastic opportunity for a Stores Operative to join our Nuclear & Infrastructure Division based at Hinkley Point C.
Our Nuclear & Infrastructure division has extensive experience in the specialist, highly regulated nuclear, transport (road and rail), process industries and power and energy sectors. Providing award winning design teams, utilising state-of-the-art design software and Tekla detailing facilities to offer customers value engineering. This gives a mix of proven success along with modern, innovative design and fabrication ideas to be able to provide a quality, specialised service to a growing market. They continue to set the bar high in their highly regulated market!
Vacancy Details
In the Stores Operative position you will have the responsibility of ordering small tools, consumables, and PPE for the site.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Purchasing (as above) / ordering/ booking in
- Recording and maintaining detailed reports for all items issued to site
- Ensuring all equipment is fit for purpose and tethered if required as per company policy.
- Arranging tool repairs and ensuring they are returned back to the correct employees in a timely manner.
- Inventory responsibilities, such as replenishing & maintaining stock levels
- General housekeeping duties to include cleaning and always keeping work areas and walkways clean and free from obstructions and hazards
Key Skills & experience
We are looking for someone with stock control experience and it would be beneficial to have previously worked in construction. Good literacy & numeracy skills, and Microsoft Office experience is required. RT/Telehandler Operator qualification (A17C or NPORS equivalent) and/or MEWP Operator qualification (PAL Card) would be desired but are not essential.
