About the OPPORTUNITY
We are searching for a Governance Professional with a passion for thoughtful analysis and ethical decision-making. This role is for someone who understands that governance is more than compliance—it is about fostering a culture of accountability and transparency while ensuring ethical practices guide every aspect of our organisation. Ideally based at our Canberra Offices, we are also open to considering suitable candidates from other States.
In this position, you will support our Security business unit by helping to shape governance practices that align with our strategic vision. You will contribute to our risk management and compliance strategies by ensuring our frameworks are in tune with key security policies, including Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and Defence Security Principle Framework (DSPF). While expertise in these specific frameworks is an advantage, we value candidates who can leverage their current skills and are eager to expand their knowledge in these areas over time. In this role, you will drive transformative projects, bridge communication among diverse stakeholders, and secure long-term success for our organisation through robust and adaptive governance frameworks.
You will be responsible for:
- Design and Implement:Develop, execute, and continuously enhance governance frameworks that align with our strategic vision and adapt to evolving regulatory standards.
- Compliance Oversight:Maintain rigorous control over compliance matters while proactively identifying risks and seizing opportunities to improve internal policies.
- Stakeholder Communication:Facilitate open and meaningful communication across all levels of the organisation, ensuring clarity and accountability in decision-making processes.
- Cross-Functional Leadership:Lead cross-functional initiatives that refine governance practices, ensuring they remain robust, agile, and aligned with industry trends and our core values.
About YOU
- Demonstrable experience in governance, risk management, or a closely related field, ideally within a complex organizational setting.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies.
- Superb communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to engage and inspire diverse stakeholder groups.
- Qualifications in governance, law, business administration, or equivalent training.
- A deep commitment to ethical practices and continuous professional development, paired with an innovative mindset.
- Australian citizen with eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance at Negative Vetting Level 2 (Essential).
