Job Title: Operations SHE Manager – Qatar
Location: Qatar (Doha) – on-site
Salary: QAR 300,000 – 350,000 + nature of work allowances
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading the SHE team for the International area of the business across sites in Qatar, Oman, Turkey as well as ad hoc support for the new areas of the business such as Japan and Italy; and provide ongoing support to the wider International environment such as Malaysia and India. Therefore, this role has a sizeable impact, in terms of influence and interaction with other areas of the organisation
- You will spend a large proportion of your time providing SHE expertise for the leadership teams across the business and sites, working with internal and external stakeholders as a subject expert, as well as managing a team of SHE professionals
- Providing competent and comprehensive SHE advice, systems and assurance for the International business, enabling them to successfully manage SHE and to achieve company strategic goals and supporting the deployment of the Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) strategy and objectives for the International business
- Driving a range of complex programmes, requiring the job holder to plan, deliver and deploy appropriate SHE interventions in support of business aims where stakeholders can be variable and broadly ranging in terms of seniority
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
- Significant amount of post-qualification experience in applying SHE knowledge and processes in work-related situations
- One or more of the following SHE qualifications: NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety; Level 5 NVQ in Occupational Safety and Health Practice; Level 6 NCRQ Diploma in Applied Health and Safety; NEBOSH Diploma in Environmental Management; Safety, Health and/or Environmental Honours Degree (Bachelors or Higher); or an equivalent qualification in a relevant subject
- Strong understanding of SHE requirements, internal and external best practice and able to bring their experience to articulate these in order to influence those in key roles in the organisation
- Experience in managing people, in order to effectively lead a team of diverse talent and experience of managing a diverse range of SHE projects within a changing environment, delivering within budget and to agreed timescales
Desirable
- Chartered membership of an appropriate professional safety, health and/or environmental institution

The SHE Operations team:
As an Operations SHE Manager, you will provide specialist SHE advice relevant to a specific area of responsibility. Whilst the role is challenging and wide-ranging, you will be part of a wider team of SHE professionals, and you can expect to be provided with a high level of support and development to ensure you are equipped to meet the challenges that the role provides. You will be advising on all aspects of safety, health, environment to help support the air strategic objectives and maintain ISO45001, ISO 14001 and ISO50001.
This role will provide you with an opportunity to work with a broad range of stakeholders in a challenging and varied role where no two days are the same. You will also have the opportunity to shape and influence SHE within a well-established and successful business working within a highly professional and supportive SHE function alongside highly skilled professionals.
