Role: Project Manager - Civil Works Programme
Position: Contract
Location: London / Suffolk
Duration: Until 31/12/2025, with rolling 12-month extensions

The Opportunity

We're looking for Project Managers to support the delivery of the Civil Works Programme at Sizewell C, a nationally significant infrastructure project that will replicate the Hinkley Point C nuclear power station design.

In this role, you'll:

  • Lead and deliver civil engineering workstreams and supply chain packages (up to £50M)
  • Drive SZC-specific design changes into executable contracts
  • Maximise replication of HPC designs to de-risk the Final Investment Decision (FID)
  • Manage end-to-end project lifecycles across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and construction
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to meet cost, schedule and safety targets
  • Engage early with key suppliers to identify risks such as obsolescence and schedule impacts
  • Ensure effective interface and stakeholder management across internal and external partners

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Degree-qualified and Chartered in Project Management, Civil Engineering, Construction, or similar
  • Demonstrable experience managing major, high-value infrastructure projects across their full lifecycle
  • Strong understanding of construction delivery, design and procurement in large industrial/energy sectors
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management and project controls
  • Proficiency in technical English (CEFR Level B2+)

Desirable:

  • Prior experience in nuclear sector projects
  • Chartered Engineer and/or recognised project management certification (e.g. APM, PMP)
  • Familiarity with UK regulatory frameworks and permitting processes

What You'll Bring

You'll embody clarity, respect, humility, and solidarity in your work-operating as part of a truly collaborative alliance. You'll be pragmatic, safety-driven, and passionate about delivering high-quality outcomes in a complex, fast-paced environment.
