JOB PURPOSE
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

The post holder will be responsible for;
§Management of the Tornado Asset availability activity necessary for the 3 value stream categories: Avionics, General Systems & Role Equipment / Ground Support Equipment
§Driving evidence-based improvements to asset availability in line with supply planning
§Ensuring the asset availability plans and dependencies maintain pace with the Inventory Forecast & Planning requirements
§Working across multiple functions to define inputs and outputs: Engineering, Supply Chain & Maintenance,
§Regular customer and senior leadership team interface
§Providing support to the Senior Asset Availability Manager
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
·To manage and direct the asset availability solution design team in the delivery of an optimum asset availability solution to meet those Customers intended operational need and build modelled KANBAN levels
·Escalate any managerial, integration, dependencies, and commercial matters preventing the service to operate as designed
·Undertake all relevant training and development required of the team
·Executive level engagement with Customer and other stakeholders as appropriate with a view to understanding and exceeding requirements and expected levels of service
·Display and set an example of the types of behaviours expected from Executive level employees across the business
·Willing to challenge people inside and outside the organisation in order to act consistently with ethical business practices
·Manage and monitor the baseline demands for Off Aircraft (own the baseline that sets the requirements on the bays)
·Manage the overall performance of the shops whilst supporting key dependencies to enable the shops (e.g. bench stock)
·Any duty or accountability required and deemed appropriate at Executive level by the business
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
Essential
§Educated to a degree level in the following discipline: Supply Chain
§Prime Contracting Experience
§Knowledge and experience of aircraft operations and the supply chain
§Previous Middle Eastern knowledge and experience (desirable)
§High level understanding of asset availability requirements and business data
§Extensive experience of availability contracting
§Customer and Supplier relations
§Experienced as member of Management Team in large multi-national complex Programme
§Demand Planning and KANBAN experience
§Significant experience in Data Analysis
