Job Title: Senior Engineer – Systems Engineering (Requirements and Acceptance)

Salary: Up to £48,000 depending on skills & experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing specialist knowledge and subject matter expertise in Configuration and Change Management. Identify the need for, communicate, and maintain Product Lifecycle Model (PLM) and Task Management tools supporting the entire engineering lifecycle
- Understanding and articulating the impact of change on other areas of the submarine platform
- Capturing and agreeing technical changes in accordance with company and programme processes
- Delivering process documentation generated, captured, configured and controlled in accordance with company processes
- Delivering design changes and documentation generated, captured, configured and controlled in accordance with company processes
- Providing engineering LCM adherence for all deliverables and relevant input to project LCM activities
- Leveraging configuration management experience and knowledge in both the tactical and strategic development of other engineers and relevant members of other supporting
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle with experience of operating in the phase relevant to the role and awareness of the entire engineering lifecycle
- Relevant sector experience in comparable industry
- Experience of web-based task management and collaboration tools
- Experience of PLM tools
- Experience of the Sparx Enterprise Architect toolset
- Engineering degree held or relevant expeirence/qualification
Desirable:
- Knowledge and expertise of Configuration Management process and practices in the defence, maritime or closely linked industry and the correct recognition of the context of their work within the overall product
- CM2 (or CMII) certification from Institute of Process Excellence
- Experience with the following toolsets/systems:
- Siemens Teamcenter toolset, preferably v11.
- SAP ERP systems
- Experience of the IBM DOORS toolset
- Experience of the JIRA and Confluence tools

The Configuration and Data Management team:
Joining a key team, you will be helping to support submarine programmes through the formalised application of configuration management to support system requirements management, verification and validation activities within an Engineering Lifecycle.
