About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Supply Planner Expediter to join our Hunter Class Frigate Program based at Osborne, reporting to the Lead Supply Planner.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and or hybrid working.
The Supply Planner Expediter is responsible for supporting the Lead Supply Planner with optimising the flow of materials from suppliers through to production, as well as returns, to meet the needs of the customer, in a safe, cost effective and efficient manner.
Key responsibilities include:
- Build and maintain relationships with Supply Chain, Engineering, Planning and Warehouse personnel
- Monitor stock levels and make recommendations to improve optimal holdings
- Undertake long, medium and short term planning across procurement, logistics, warehouse and yard to meet production schedule and requirements factoring in criteria such as shelf-life, order volumes, space, restrictions
- Work with Planning and Procurement to establish supply plan solutions and ensure early warning signs are in place to manage risk, change and to key scheduled activities
- Evaluate tender documentation to assess Supply Planning and Logistics activities
- Analyse, forecast, review demand and project plans to determine statistical demand plan, gaining alignment against supply
About YOU
- Ability to effectively engage and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of identifying and resolving complex issues.
- Holds a minimum of three years of experience in a comparable role, showcasing a solid understanding of industry best practices.
- Highly proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, with particular expertise in utilising advanced Excel functionalities for data analysis and reporting.
- Comprehensive experience working with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems, demonstrating a strong understanding of inventory and production control.
- Demonstrated experience in trade fabrication/production is highly advantageous.
- A Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification is highly desirable.
