Cavendish Nuclear are seeking experienced TIG-MMA Welders to join our team on the prestigious Hinkley Point C project on night shift. The Role
- Play a pivotal role in building the UK's clean energy future.
- Work within the MEH Alliance, collaborating effectively to deliver complex piping and cabling systems.
- Perform welding operations to a radiographic standard.
- Conduct equipment inspections.
- Adhere to established welding protocols and safety regulations, including fume control.
- Identify and report potential welding problems for corrective action.
- Ability to identify your own welds for quality control.
- Comply with established quality control procedures and documentation standards.
Required Skills
- TIG Welders required for high integrity pipe welding
- Structural MMA Welders required for pipe supports and brackets at Hinkley Point C.
- Suitable candidates will be required to test to the following ISO 9606 standards:
- SWQ-02 Butt Weld – 2” carbon steel pipe weld – 6G position – All TIG
- SWQ-02 Fillet Weld – 2” carbon steel pipe to plate – horizontal position – TIG
- SWQ-04 Butt weld - 2” Stainless steel pipe weld using full Tig (root, fill & cap) in 6G position - All TIG
- SWQ-04 Fillet weld – 2” pipe to plate using TIG in horizonal position - All TIG
Or
- SWQ-70 Box to Plate – structural steel – horizontal position – MMA.
Suitable candidates must be able to provide evidence of:
- Level 2 / Apprenticeship / City & Guilds in Welding
- CCNSG Safety Passport
