Job Title: Master Schedule Planning Manager

Salary: Up to 60,000 commensurate with skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead demand planning and long-term business planning activities, including scenario testing, capacity planning, and make-versus-buy decisions to ensure optimal supply solutions
- Collaborate with Production Planning and Control (PP&C) teams to develop and maintain a robust master schedule, ensuring material requirements are accurately planned and executed
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Procurement, and Maintenance teams to align planning activities with business objectives and develop effective performance measures
- Conduct capacity balancing and scenario testing to identify and mitigate risks, providing alternative planning approaches when necessary
- Drive the development and implementation of demand planning strategies, championing continuous improvement and best practice sharing across the team
- Utilise SAP and other planning tools to monitor material availability, track performance metrics, and proactively address any supply chain concerns
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of planning professionals, ensuring effective resource allocation, talent management, and alignment with business needs
Your Skills and Experiences
- Strong proficiency in SAP and Microsoft platforms, with the ability to extract and analyse data to inform planning decisions
- Proven stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships across functions and all levels of the business
- Demonstrated experience in leading high-performing teams, promoting a collaborative and inclusive working environment
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make complex business judgments and drive data-informed decisions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to review, challenge, and provide constructive feedback on planning outputs and deliverables
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to resolve issues, influence outcomes, and foster cross-functional collaboration

Join our dynamic Planning team within Maritime and Land Defence Solutions, where you’ll play a key role in shaping the long-term planning strategy across our Products business. As the Master Schedule Planning Manager, you will lead a team spanning Broad Oak, Cowes, and Hillend, driving integrated demand planning and scenario modelling to support business growth and operational success.
You’ll be the single point of truth for our medium- and long-term planning requirements, collaborating closely with Project and Production Managers, as well as senior internal stakeholders. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced planning professional to make a real impact in a high-performing, supportive environment.
Our workplace in Cowes is an easily accessible commute from Southampton with a regular foot passenger ferry and BAE shuttle service from the ferry terminal to site.
