The shift pattern for this position is M – F 37h between 0830-1700.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a background in medical technology or physics to work as part of a team delivering a Nuclear Medicine imaging service. The work, which is patient focussed, includes routine performance and quality control of diagnostic nuclear medicine studies; processing and management of acquired data; acting as an operator under IRMER and patient cannulation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals.
Applicants should have a degree in Medical Technology, a degree in Physical Science or BSc in Diagnostic or Therapeutic Radiology (or other appropriate discipline) or equivalent. (HNC /ONC with significant suitable experience will be considered). Registration on the Register for Clinical Technologists (RCT) is desirable. (If not the post-holder will follow a training plan and is expected to achieve the award of DipIPEM (T) and this may include some academic postgraduate modules within the 2.5 years.). Applicants should also have some experience in a health care environment along with experience in planning, investigating and performing technical projects.
