Salary: £65,000 dependent on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Establish category strategy for technology infrastructure requirements to drive increased value across the enterprise over the next 5 years.
- Act as an entry point into the Technology Procurement team, responsible for triaging requirements and capturing/managing demand. In turn, being responsible for pipeline management for all Infrastructure requirements
- Integration with key stakeholders, coupled with data analytics to identify opportunities that drive value through early Procurement engagement
- Responsible for developing and delivering procurement plans that deliver business requirements for key Technology Infrastructure requirements
- Establish market & supplier intelligence across the technology infrastructure market to provide intelligence into the business and drive value through improved service offerings, reduced risk and cost options
- Take a global approach: Work with global teams to identify opportunities and agree procurement plans with other sectors
- Stakeholder management across a complex network of sector stakeholders
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Expertise in managing technology infrastructure procurement, in particular telecomms, infrastructure and hardware
- Experience of category management and strategy creation
- Stakeholder management experience
Desirable
- Experience in procurement and supply chain management. Ideally MCIPS Qualified or studying towards
- Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen
- Excellent analytical abilities for evaluating supplier performance and identifying cost-saving opportunities

The Technology Category Management Team:
Would you like to provide specialist procurement expertise to develop and deploy capability across our Indirect Procurement Service? We currently have a vacancy for a Procurement Manager supporting IT Infrastructure.
As a Procurement Manager, you will lead on behalf of the Technology category management team in establishing and managing the Procurement category strategy for IT Infrastructure requirements. Particular focus on collaborating with business stakeholders across a complex network to understand technology roadmaps, business requirements and formulate a Procurement strategy to drive value. As the subject matter expert you will represent IPS meeting with other business units and functional areas supporting them in providing market/supplier intelligence, helping define requirements, pipeline planning, along with strategy and sourcing plan creation to meet the operational needs of the business.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work with the breadth of Indirect Procurement across multiple categories and sectors. You will be provided with complexity and opportunities for career progression in a shared service environment.
