Location: RG7 4PR, currently located between Reading and Basingstoke. We need you to be flexible attending the office up to 3 days per week.
Package: Starting from £37,910 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience)

Let us introduce the role
As an Information Rights Specialist at AWE Nuclear Security Technologies, you will be developing a solid working knowledge of the Data Protection legislation; GDPR & DPA 2018 Act, Freedom of Information Act (FoIA) and the Environmental Information Regulations (EIR).
Handling casework, ensuring subject matter experts engage fully with the Information Rights Team and all stakeholders to meet the statutory deadlines.
We would like you to have demonstrable experience of the following:

A good understanding the FOI Act, and or data protection legislation Or transferable skills and an aptitude to learn new skills within an established team.

To be able to handle FOI requests, Data Subject Access requests; ensuring timely compliance.

Interpreting information and identifying sensitive data.

Strong written and verbal skills.

Attention to detail
-
Ensuring accuracy and integrity in managing information.

Working collaboratively with departments and partners to gather information and compile responses.

Ensuring practices conform to legislative and regulatory standards.

Familiarity with information management tools.

This role requires Developed Vetting if successful which is funded by AWE.

Interviews will be 75 minutes on TEAMs during working hours.
Due to the classified nature of some of the work involved, there may be periods when opportunities to work from home are limited in this role. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will spend the majority of their time working on site at AWE Aldermaston with the potential to move to Green Park, Reading in the future.
