Mission:
This is a consultancy-based position, requiring on-site presence at the client's premises 2–3 days per week (Aztec West, Bristol).
We are currently seeking several Layout Engineers Consultants – Nuclear to join our expanding UK team and support our client on the Hinkley Point C (HPC) and Sizewell C (SZC) nuclear projects.
As part of the Layout Team, you will contribute to the engineering efforts of the HPC and SZC Projects. The Layout Team plays a critical role in supporting the construction of the four EPR units by delivering engineering support related to plant design.

What You'll Be Doing:

Assessing if the site request has layout impact
- Assessing requests coming from site that may impact Layout
- Reporting to the Layout Team Lead achievements, progresses and difficulties and raising alerts on any aspects of the design when identified
- Contributing to the closure of design open points after the delivery of packages to site;
- Anticipating and raising alerts on open technical points
- Collecting and organising the lessons learnt
- Participating to Team meetings, sharing technical topics
- Manage and monitor any modifications requested by the various engineering teams, contractors and the client.
Profile:
We’re after someone who brings both technical expertise and a collaborative spirit. Here’s what we’d love to see:

Holds a degree and has hands-on experience in a nuclear engineering environment
- Background in EPR or other nuclear-related projects
- Proficient in 2D and 3D design software, particularly Navisworks and AutoCAD
- Good knowledge of PDMS or E3D, or equivalent
- Strong understanding of general layout and installation guidelines
- Familiarity with the overall operation of nuclear power plants and key safety considerations, including nuclear safety, flood risks, fire hazards, radiological protection, and high-energy line failures
- Experienced in plant layout engineering
- Knowledgeable about the UK design framework and regulatory requirements.
