We are looking for a Modelling Analyst to join our Project Controls team at AWE Nuclear Security Technologies.
Package: From £40,000 dependant on experience
Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke
AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight. We will consider flexible working requests so that your work may fit in with your lifestyle. Just let us know your preferred working pattern on your application. Up to two days on site.
Introducing the Role:
As a Modelling Analyst, you will explore how statistical modelling is developed and implemented in a collaborative and supportive environment. You will engage in analyses, scenario modelling, and provide assurance, validation, and verification for a diverse range of AWE projects and programmes.
Key Responsibilities:

Learn and deliver an effective modelling and analysis service to meet business needs.

Champion modelling; its benefits, providing advice and enabling informed decision-making.

Implement the fundamentals of Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) practice, familiar with the full model lifecycle.

Understand and interpret project schedules from Primavera or MS Project.
-
Understand and interpret cost estimates, cost plans, and financial data.
-
Utilise a range of quantitative modelling tools and techniques, such as Monte Carlo analysis, discrete event simulation, optimization, and programming for modelling & analysis.

Support business cases and investment approvals, including Options Analysis, Investment Appraisal, and Schedule/Cost/Deliverability Effectiveness modelling.

Develop and nurture key relationships with project teams and other stakeholders as required.

You will need to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role. This will be funded by AWE. The nature of our work does mean you need to be a British Citizen who has been resident in the UK for the past 5 years in order to apply for SC clearance and 10 years for DV.
